Bucs' Magee faces minor drug charge

TAMPA, Fla., May 10 (UPI) -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers defensive end Arcilla Alexander Magee was cited for marijuana possession after being pulled over for a traffic stop, authorities said.

The Tampa Police Department said an officer stopped Magee's Dodge Charger in Tampa about 1:15 p.m. Monday for having expired license tags, the St. Petersburg Times reported.

While writing the citation, the officer smelled marijuana and found a small amount of the drug in a search of the car, authorities said.

Magee, 24, will face charges of possession of marijuana and driving with expired tags.

Because the amount of marijuana constituted only a misdemeanor charge, the officer issued Magee a citation and a court date and allowed him to go on his way, the Times reported.
