Lange issued a statement saying he has left the program in good shape.

"Seven years ago, we were tasked with a daunting mission; to re establish a winning, passionate, committed culture," Lange said. "I can proudly say that Navy basketball is well respected within our conference, our region, and nationally. The program is poised for a great future."

He compiled a 92-115 record coaching the Midshipmen.
