SEATTLE, May 9 (UPI) -- Veteran outfielders Milton Bradley and Ryan Langerhans have been designated for assignment, the Seattle Mariners said Monday.

Bradley, 33, in his 12th major league season, hit .218 with two home runs and 13 runs batted in in 28 games this season. He played for eight teams in his career and hit .271 with 125 home runs.

Langerhans, 31, was batting .173 with three home runs and six RBI in 19 games. He's played for four teams during his nine-season career, batting .226 with 33 home runs.

Seattle had 10 days to trade, release or demote the players.

The Mariners called up outfielders Carlos Peguero and Mike Wilson from Triple-A Tacoma to fill the roster spots.
