CARSON, Calif., May 8 (UPI) -- Red Bull New York got a first-half goal from Thierry Henry Saturday but missed a couple of second-half opportunities and settled for a 1-1 tie with Los Angeles.

After Henry captured a pass from Dane Richards and rolled the ball into the net past Los Angeles goalkeeper Donovan Ricketts, Landon Donovan got the Galaxy goal in the 41st minute when he headed in a feed from David Beckham from 8 yards out.

Earlier, Juan Pablo Angel's apparent goal for the Galaxy was called back for offsides. New York defender Tim Ream also prevented a Los Angeles goal by Donovan.

In the second half, Juan Agudelo just missed the left post and Richards had a shot from 20 yards ricochet off the woodwork.

New York is now 4-1-3, while the Galaxy is 4-2-4.
