Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI

PORTLAND, Ore., May 7 (UPI) -- A goal by Mamadou Danso in the 72nd minute Friday gave the expansion Portland Timbers a 1-0 victory over Philadelphia.
Portland (4-3-1) has yet to lose at home in its inaugural season, but it has not won on the road.
It was the first MLS goal for Danso and it only the third given up by Philadelphia (4-2-1) all season.
Portland goalkeeper Troy Perkins recorded his second straight shutout.
Danso ran through the penalty area to take a long free kick from near midfield by Jack Jewsbury and then flicked a header past Philadelphia goalkeeper Faryd Mondragon.
Philadelphia was shut out for the second time this season. It has scored no more than one goal in any game this year.
