MIAMI, May 7 (UPI) -- Tom Gorzelanny gave up a two-run homer in the second Saturday and then settled down to help bring Washington a 5-2 decision over Florida.

The Nationals handed the Marlins their third straight loss with Gorzelanny allowing only two hits over seven innings.

John Buck hit the second-inning homer that lifted Florida into a 2-2 tie, but a sacrifice fly from Jayson Werth put Washington back in front in the fifth.

The Nationals tacked on two runs in the ninth with Jerry Hairston scoring on a fielding error by third baseman Wes Helms and Ian Desmond delivering a sacrifice fly.

Gorzelanny (2-2) struck out six and walked four. Drew Storen worked a perfect ninth for his seventh save. Storen has now allowed a run in 16 innings.

Chris Volstad (2-2) suffered the loss, surrendering three runs on eight hits in six innings.
