HOUSTON, May 4 (UPI) -- Jamie Smith and Scott Palguta scored late goals Wednesday that rallied the Colorado Rapids to a 2-1 victory over Houston.
All three scores in the game came in the final 20 minutes.
Colin Clark gave Houston the lead in the 71st minute, firing a shot between the legs of a defender and past goalkeeper Matt Pickens.
Smith tied it 3 minutes later with a long shot that was misplayed by Houston goalkeeper Tally Hall. Smith's free kick sailed over Hall's head after he came out from the goal to play it.
Palguta scored the game-winner off a corner kick in the 84th minute.
Colorado improved to 4-3-1 and Houston slipped to 3-2-3.
