ST. PETERSBURG, Fla., May 3 (UPI) -- B.J. Upton socked a game-winning, two-run homer in the bottom of the ninth Tuesday, rallying the Tampa Bay Rays to a 3-2 win over Toronto.
Ben Zobrist led off the ninth with a single and Upton followed by pulling an 0-1 from Jon Rauch (1-2) into the left-center field stands.
The dramatic late blow made a winner of Kyle Farnsworth (2-0), who came in with two out and the bases empty in the top of the ninth, allowed a double to Edwin Encarnacion and then retired John McDonald on a groundout as Tampa Bay logged its 14th win in 18 games.
Rays starter Wade Davis went six innings, allowing two run on six hits for a no-decision.
Toronto's Jo-Jo Reyes held the Rays to one run on four hits over six innings.
Adam Lind and Encarnacion each had an RBI for the Blue Jays, who dropped their third straight.
