KANSAS CITY, Mo., May 3 (UPI) -- Jeff Francoeur lofted a game-winning sacrifice fly in the 10th inning Tuesday, sending the Kansas City Royals to a 6-5 win over Baltimore.
Alex Gordon coaxed a walk off Jason Berken (0-2) to lead off the 10th, went to third on a Billy Butler single and came home on Francoeur's fly to right, giving the Royals their fifth straight home win.
Francoeur's sixth-inning solo home run knotted the score at 5-5 while Melky Cabrera and Wilson Betemit each added two hits and an RBI for Kansas City.
Tim Collins (2-1) earned the win after coming in to strike out Luke Scott with two outs and a runner in scoring position in the top of the 10th.
Scott blasted a three-run homer in the fourth for the Orioles.
Baltimore starter Brad Bergesen gave up four runs (three earned) on six hits over five innings.
