Vikings fullback Felton charged with DWI

OAKLAND, Calif., May 1 (UPI) -- Gio Gonzalez held Texas to two runs over 6 2/3 innings Sunday and the Oakland Athletics struck early on their way to a 7-2 victory over the Rangers.
Gonzalez (3-2) issued five hits and two walks and struck out seven, capitalizing on a 6-0 lead the A's provided him after three innings.
Conor Jackson delivered a two-run double and Kurt Suzuki added a run-scoring single in the first inning. Coco Crisp, Hideki Matsui and Cliff Pennington each drove in runs over the next two frames for Oakland, which won for the second time in three games against Texas.
Rangers starter Matt Harrison (3-3) lasted only 1 2/3 innings after yielding four runs on six hits.
Ian Kinsler and Michael Young notched RBI for Texas.
