BELGRADE, Serbia, May 1 (UPI) -- Novak Djokovic stretched his 2011 unbeaten streak to 27-0 Sunday, turning back Feliciano Lopez of Spain to win his hometown Serbia Open.

The top-seeded Djokovic logged a 7-6 (7-4), 6-2 victory in a 2-hour match, using a strong serve to take a first-set tiebreak and then go on to win his fifth title of the season.

Djokovic won the Belgrade event for a second time while continuing the best start to begin a season since Ivan Lendl went 29-0 in 1986.

Lopez, meanwhile, saw his record in ATP finals fall to 2-5. He remained winless in four career matches against the Serb star.
