NEW YORK, April 30 (UPI) -- The owner of the Baltimore Ravens chided his counterparts in Chicago over their muffed attempt at a trade during this week's NFL draft.

Steve Bisciotti told the Baltimore Sun the McCaskey family's apology for the aborted trade was insufficient, but was "probably end of story."

"I'm disappointed in the Bears and the McCaskeys," Bisciotti said. "It is in my opinion a deviation from their great legacy."

The Chicago Tribune said Saturday that Bears General Manager Jerry Angelo rejected NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell's suggestion the Bears offer some compensation to the Ravens, saying his team had broken no rules.

The two teams had been set to swap first-round selections on Friday but the Bears failed to formally confirm the trade in time and the deal was voided. The final result was Baltimore feeling chiseled out of the fourth-round pick they would have gotten from Chicago.
