MLB: Cincinnati 4, Florida 3 (10 innings)

CINCINNATI, April 30 (UPI) -- Edgar Renteria grounded an RBI single in the 10th inning Saturday, rallying the Cincinnati Reds to a 4-3 victory over Florida.

Marlins reliever Mike Dunn (1-1) walked Brandon Phillips and Jonny Gomes to lead off the 10th, then threw wildly on Miguel Cairo's grounder to load the bases with no outs.

He induced Ramon Hernandez to ground into a fielder's choice and Paul Janish to pop out, but Renteria grounded a hit between third base and shortstop, sending Phillips home with the winning run.

The hit made a winner of Francisco Cordero (1-0), who tossed scoreless ninth and 10th innings for Cincinnati, which scored three times in the bottom of the eighth to erase a 3-0 deficit.

Florida starter Josh Johnson hurled seven shutout innings, scattering five hits and two walks while striking out six.

Wes Helms hit a two-run double for the Marlins, who lost for the second time in three games.
