MIAMI, April 27 (UPI) -- Chris Volstad held the Dodgers to two runs over seven innings Tuesday and the Florida Marlins extended their hot streak with a 4-2 win over Los Angeles.
Volstad (2-1) issued seven hits and walked only one while striking out five for the Marlins, who won for the 10th time in 12 games.
Randy Choate and Clay Hensley combined for a scoreless eighth inning and Leo Nunez collected his seventh save in the ninth.
Mike Stanton delivered a two-run double in the sixth to break a 2-2 tie and Gaby Sanchez added a solo homer for the Marlins.
Dodgers starter Clayton Kershaw (2-3) was touched for all four runs on six hits in 5 1/3 innings.
James Loney went 4-for-4 and Andre Ethier added a run-scoring double for Los Angeles, which lost for the third time in four games. Ethier extended his hitting streak to 23 games.
