SAN DIEGO, April 27 (UPI) -- Jair Jurrjens pitched a complete game Tuesday in the Atlanta Braves' 8-2 win over San Diego.
David Ross hit two home runs and Chipper Jones homered for the Braves, who broke the game open with five runs in the sixth inning.
Jurrjens (2-0) went the distance for the first time in his Major League career. He gave up two runs on nine hits and struck out four.
The Padres again sputtered on offense. They stranded eight runners on base and were 0-11 with men on base.
Aaron Harang (4-1) gave up eight runs on seven hits in six innings for his first loss of the year.
Harang got off to a rough start by giving up a two-run homer to Jones in the first inning. He was victimized by Ross' solo shot in the second and two-run homer in the sixth.
