MLS: Toronto FC 1, Columbus 1 (tie)

TORONTO, April 23 (UPI) -- Emilio Renteria scored in the 48th minute Saturday, enabling the Columbus Crew to earn a 1-1 draw with short-handed Toronto FC.

Renteria's header on a cross from Dilly Duka found the far post for the Crew (2-1-3), who remained unbeaten in five games since dropping the season opener.

Toronto (1-2-4) got its goal from Tony Tchani in the 42nd minute on a through pass that forward Alan Gordon slotted past Crew goalkeeper William Hesmer.

But Tchani was given a second yellow card and ejected from the game during his post-goal celebration for leaving the field to embrace cheering Toronto fans without the permission of the referee.

TFC played with 10 men the rest of the way and remained winless in 12 all-time meetings with Columbus in their annual Trillium Cup rivalry series.
