Fergus-Levi, Senior-Lyle top Legends

SAVANNAH, Ga., April 23 (UPI) -- Keith Fergus and Wayne Levi combined for a 12-under 60 Saturday, tying Peter Senior and Sandy Lyle after the second round of the Legends of Golf.

Senior and Lyle teamed up for an 11-under 61 at Savannah, Ga., to match Fergus and Levi atop the leaderboard at 20-under 124.

Fergus and Levi notched three straight birdies on the front nine to reach 14-under and Fergus drained a 7-foot birdie putt on No. 13 to gain a piece of the lead for the tandem.

Both teams ended the day one stroke ahead of the duo of Scott Hoch and Kenny Perry (62) and first-round co-leaders Tom Kite and Gil Morgan (63).

Knotted in fifth at minus-18 were Ian Baker-Finch and Joe Ozaki (62), Tom Pernice Jr. and Bob Tway (62), Tom Lehman and Corey Pavin (62), and Gary Hallberg and Ted Schulz (64).
