ORLANDO, Fla., April 19 (UPI) -- Dwight Howard scored 33 points and grabbed 19 rebounds Tuesday in the Orlando Magic's 88-82 win over Atlanta, evening their first-round playoff series at 1-1.

Jameer Nelson added 13 points and eight boards while Hedo Turkoglu hit a key layup in the closing minutes en route to 10 points for the Magic, who rebounded from a Game 1 loss in their Eastern Conference quarterfinal series against Atlanta.

The Magic built a 78-66 lead midway through the fourth quarter but the Hawks whittled it down to two before Turkoglu's shot and a 3-pointer from Jason Richardson with 1:08 remaining put the game away for Orlando.

The Magic went 29-of-36 from the foul line and held a 52-39 rebounding advantage.
