NHL: Anaheim 5, Nashville 3

ANAHEIM, Calif., April 16 (UPI) -- Corey Perry and Ryan Getzlaf each had a goal and two assists Friday, helping Anaheim even its first-round playoff series with a 5-3 win over Nashville.

Perry's goal 5 1/2 minutes into the game gave the fourth-seeded Ducks the lead for good and Getzlaf's tally late in the second period put Anaheim up 4-1.

Bobby Ryan added a second-period marker and an empty-netter while Teemu Selanne also scored for Anaheim, which notched a win to even the series at one game apiece after losing Wednesday's series opener 4-1.

Ray Emery turned aside 31-of-34 shots but was shaky in the third when Nashville scored on goals by Patric Hornqvist and Joel Ward to narrow the deficit to 4-3.

The Predators, however, could come no closer.

Pekka Rinne made 23 saves for fifth-seeded Nashville, which will host Game 3 Sunday.
