NBA: Charlotte 96, Atlanta 85

CHARLOTTE, N.C., April 14 (UPI) -- Gerald Henderson's 20 points Wednesday paced the Charlotte Bobcats to a 96-85 decision over playoff-bound Atlanta.

The Bobcats concluded a 34-48 season with consecutive victories. They made the playoffs last year, but Coach Larry Brown resigned after a 9-19 start to this season and Charlotte sent Gerald Wallace to Portland at the trade deadline.

Atlanta closed the regular campaign with six losses in a row. The Hawks will open the playoffs against Orlando.

Josh Powell led Atlanta with 16 points off the bench.
