MLB: Milwaukee 4, Pittsburgh 1

PITTSBURGH, April 14 (UPI) -- Randy Wolf struck out 10 Pirates over 6 2/3 shutout innings Thursday, boosting the Milwaukee Brewers to a 4-1 decision over Pittsburgh.

Wolf (1-2) surrendered only three hits while walking two for the Brewers, who won their fourth straight contest and swept a rain-shortened two-game series from the Pirates.

Prince Fielder, Yuniesky Betancourt and Nyjer Morgan drove in runs for the Brewers, who have rebounded from an 0-4 start with their seventh victory in eight games.

Paul Maholm (0-2) allowed two runs on four hits through seven innings, walking three and striking out six.

The Pirates lost for the fifth time in six games.
