NEW YORK, April 14 (UPI) -- Jonathan Herrera's three-run homer Thursday highlighted a big sixth inning that carried Colorado to a 9-4 win over the New York Mets and a doubleheader sweep.
Herrera's blast came after Troy Tulowitzki hit a solo shot and Jorge De La Rosa and Dexter Fowler each drove in runs during the six-run sixth, which erased a 4-2 New York lead and handed the Rockies their second win of the day.
The Rockies downed the Mets 6-5 in the first game.
Todd Helton went 3-for-5 with a run scored and Fowler finished with two hits and a pair of RBI for Colorado, which is off to the best start in franchise history with 10 wins in 11 games.
De La Rosa (2-0) earned the win, yielding four runs on five hits over 6 2/3 innings while walking four and fanning seven.
Mets starter Chris Capuano (1-1) was tagged for seven runs on eight hits in a 5 2/3-inning start.
Mike Nickeas and Jose Reyes each drove in two runs in the loss, which dropped the Mets to 4-9.
