
SAN FRANCISCO, April 13 (UPI) -- Aaron Rowland scored the winning run on a wild pitch in the seventh inning of San Francisco's 5-4 win over the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday.
Rowland, who was 2-for-4 and drove in a run in the game, opened the inning with a triple and then raced home when Blake Hawksworth (1-1) served up a wild pitch while facing the next batter, Freddy Sanchez.
Buster Posey added two RBI to the San Francisco offense and Jeremy Affeldt (1-0) picked up the win in relief, with Brian Wilson striking out the side in the ninth inning to record his first save of the year.
Giants starter Tim Lincecum lasted 5 1/3 innings, giving up three runs on six hits and striking out four.
Matt Kemp had two hits and an RBI and Marcus Thames hit a solo home run for Los Angeles.
