Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NEW YORK, April 13 (UPI) -- Troy Tulowitzki gave Colorado the lead with a three-run homer in the fifth Wednesday and the Rockies went on to edge the New York Mets 5-4.
The Rockies won their fourth in a row.
Colorado faced a 3-1 deficit heading into the fifth before Tulowitzki hit his fifth homer of the season. Ryan Spilborghs added a solo shot for the Rockies in the sixth and that turned out to be the game-winning run when Angel Pagan delivered a sacrifice fly for the Mets in the seventh.
Esmil Rogers (2-0) went 5 2/3 innings to get the win, surrendering three runs on seven hits with four walks. Huston Street nailed down his sixth save with a perfect ninth.
Jon Niese (0-2) took the loss, allowing five runs on seven hits in six innings.
