
NEW YORK, April 12 (UPI) -- Derrick Rose pumped in 26 points Tuesday and the Chicago Bulls got closer to the best record in the NBA with a 103-90 victory over New York.
Luol Deng contributed 23 points to go with 10 rebounds and Carlos Boozer added 14 points and 22 boards for the Bulls, who improved to 61-20.
The win brought them closer to San Antonio for the league's top overall seed. The Spurs came into Tuesday sporting a 61-19 record with two games to play.
Joakim Noah provided 13 points for the Bulls, who have won eight straight and will wrap up their regular season Wednesday against New Jersey.
Carmelo Anthony put in 21 points for the sixth-seeded Knicks, who saw their seven-game winning streak snapped.
New York's Bill Walker chipped in with 18 points.
