Valencia followed with a sharp liner to right, scoring Repko with the winning run as the Twins improved to 4-6 on the season.
Dusty Hughes (1-0) earned the win with a scoreless top of the ninth.
Minnesota starter Brian Duensing allowed two earned runs on eight hits over six innings.
