Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

MEMPHIS, April 10 (UPI) -- O.J. Mayo scored 18 points and Marc Gasol added 16 for Memphis Sunday and the playoff-bound Grizzlies downed New Orleans 111-89.
Five Memphis players reached double figures in scoring, including Zach Randolph and Sam Young with 14 points apiece.
Greivis Vasquez contributed 13 off the bench for the Grizzlies, who pulled into a tie with the Hornets for the sixth seed in the Western Conference at 46-34 with the victory.
Gasol added seven rebounds.
Both teams are one game behind the fifth-seeded Portland Trail Blazers.
New Orleans was paced by 18 points from Marco Belinelli.
The Hornets' Chris Paul, meanwhile, was held without a point for the first time in his six-year career.
