
DENVER, April 10 (UPI) -- Denver's Ty Lawson went 10-of-11 from 3-point range en route to 37 points Saturday and the Nuggets pounded Minnesota 130-106.
Lawson drained his first 10 three-point attempts before missing a long heave as time was expiring in the third quarter. His performance enabled Denver to set a team record with 19 treys on 38 attempts.
Raymond Felton contributed 11 points and 14 assists. Eight Nuggets scored in double figures as Denver won for eighth time in 10 games and tightened its hold on the Western Conference's fifth playoff seed.
The Timberwolves, meanwhile, dropped their 13th straight and fell to 5-35 on the road. They are tied with New Jersey for the worst records in the NBA at 17-63.
Martell Webster and Lazar Hayward led Minnesota with 15 points each.
