MLB: Washington 7, N.Y. Mets 3 (11 inn.)

NEW YORK, April 10 (UPI) -- Ivan Rodriguez drove in the go-ahead run with an 11th-inning RBI single Sunday and the Washington Nationals went on to post a 7-3 win over the New York Mets.

The Nats put two runners on base with one out in the 11th and Rodriguez made it 4-3 with a single to shallow right off Blaine Boyer (0-2). Laynce Nix then sealed the win with a three-run homer and Washington took the rubber match of a three-game series at Citi Field.

Drew Storen (1-0) earned the victory with a scoreless bottom of the 10th. Nationals starter Jason Marquis yielded three runs on seven hits over six innings.

Jose Reyes went 3-for-5 with a run scored and Ike Davis added a pair of hits and an RBI for the Mets.

New York starter Chris Young allowed only one hit over seven innings of work, yielding one run and a pair of walks and striking out five in the no-decision.
