NHL: Tampa Bay 4, Florida 2

TAMPA, Fla., April 9 (UPI) -- Vincent Lecavalier's second score of the game was one of three unanswered Tampa Bay goals Friday that lifted the Lightning to a 4-2 win over Florida.

Tampa Bay, which will go into the playoffs as the No. 5 seed in the Eastern Conference, has won six out of seven.

Lecavalier opened the scoring 4:08 into the contest but Jason Garrison tied it with 8:01 to go in the first period. Ryan Malone, Lecavalier and Pavel Kubina then ran off three straight goals, giving Tampa Bay a 4-1 cushion late in the second period.

The win went to Dwayne Roloson, who made 23 saves. Scott Clemmensen gave up four goals on 33 shots.

Florida will head into its final game of the season with the worst record in the East.
