BOSTON, April 9 (UPI) -- Tim Thomas turned aside 31 shots Saturday and the playoff-bound Boston Bruins wrapped up their home schedule with a 3-1 decision over Ottawa.

Nathan Horton, Rich Peverley and Daniel Paille found the net for Boston, which secured no worse than the third seed in the Eastern Conference with the victory.

The Northeast Division-champion Bruins will play their final game Sunday in New Jersey. They ended the year with a 22-13-6 record within the division.

The Senators got their only goal from Bobby Butler, and Curtis McElhinney made 26 saves in the setback.
