MLS: Real Salt Lake 2, New England 0

FOXBOROUGH, Mass., April 9 (UPI) -- Chris Schuler and Paulo Araujo Jr. scored Saturday in Real Salt Lake 's 2-0 win over the New England Revolution.

Real Salt Lake got the only goal it needed to improve to 3-0-0 when Schuler put the ball in the goal in the 28th minute. Araujo got the insurance goal 2 minutes after halftime.

New England (1-1-3) ended the game shorthanded after Shalrie Joseph and Pat Phelan were sent off in the second half. Joseph was slapped with a red card in the 70th minute for shoving Kyle Beckerman in the face. Phelan was booted for a serious foul in the last 5 minutes.

Kyle Reynish got the shutout in his first start of the season in goal.
