NBA: Phoenix 108, Minnesota 98

MINNEAPOLIS, April 7 (UPI) -- Aaron Brooks led a big effort by the Phoenix bench Wednesday that lifted the Suns to a 108-98 victory over Minnesota.

The Suns got 58 points from their reserve players to win for just the second time in eight games.

Marcin Gortat scored 20 points and had 16 rebounds as the chief point producer among the starters. In addition to Brooks and his 19 points, Phoenix got 17 points off the bench from Hakim Walker, 12 from Vince Carter and 10 Josh Childress.

Minnesota lost its 12th straight game and, with 17 victories, is tied with Cleveland for the fewest wins in the NBA. Michael Beasley led the Timberwolves with 24 points.
