Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

NEW YORK, April 6 (UPI) -- Toney Douglas came off the bench to score 28 points Tuesday, sparking the New York Knicks to their fourth straight win, 131-118 win over Toronto.
Carmelo Anthony added 23 points to go with and nine rebounds and Amare Stoudemire provided 23 points, six boards and five assists for the Knicks, who pulled within a half-game of Philadelphia for the Eastern Conference's sixth seed.
DeMar DeRozan had 36 points and 10 rebounds in the Raptors' seventh loss in eight games. Ed Davis had 22 points and 13 rebounds and Jerryd Bayless scored 19 for Toronto.
