NBA: Boston 99, Philadelphia 82

BOSTON, April 5 (UPI) -- Rajon Rondo logged 16 points and 13 assists Tuesday and the Boston Celtics clamped down in the second half to post a 99-82 victory over Philadelphia.

Paul Pierce contributed 18 points and seven rebounds and Kevin Garnett provided 14 points for the Celtics, who pulled into a tie with the Miami Heat for the second seed in the Eastern Conference.

Boston limited Philadelphia to 32 points in the second half.

The 76ers got 21 points from Evan Turner off the bench in their second straight loss.
