Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

DENVER, April 3 (UPI) -- Jorge De La Rosa tossed 5 1/3 shutout innings Saturday, sparking the Colorado Rockies to a 3-1 victory over Arizona.
De La Rosa (1-0) allowed three hits, fanned five and walked only one before leaving in the sixth inning because of a blister on his index finger.
The hurler also knocked in a run with a single, and Chris Iannetta added two hits, an RBI and two runs scored for Colorado.
Huston Street collected his first save of the season despite allowing a run on two hits in the ninth inning.
Daniel Hudson (0-1) gave up three runs on six hits for the Diamondbacks.
Arizona's Ryan Roberts went 2-for-4 with an RBI.
