
PHOENIX, April 2 (UPI) -- Grant Hill led six Phoenix players in double figures Friday and the Suns had a second-quarter surge en route to a 111-98 victory over the Los Angeles Clippers.
Phoenix halted a four-game losing streak, but remained 5 1/2 games out of a playoff position in the Western Conference with seven to play.
Hill scored 19 points, Hakim Warrick added 17 points and 10 rebounds and Jared Dudley contributed 16. Phoenix shot 50 percent from the field and Hill made 6-of-9.
Eric Gordon led the Clippers with 21 points. Blake Griffin had 20 points and 13 assists. Los Angeles has lost three out of four.
Phoenix closed the second period on a 25-11 run to take a 57-44 advantage the break and the Clippers could never make a charge over the final two periods.
