TORONTO, April 2 (UPI) -- Alejandro Moreno scored early in the match Saturday and Chivas USA held for a 1-1 draw against Toronto FC, notching their first point of the season.

Moreno struck in the third minute, gathering a loose ball in the penalty area and beating goalkeeper Stefan Frei from 12 yards out for his first goal of the season.

Chivas (0-2-1) allowed an equalizing goal by Toronto's Alan Gordon in the 36th minute, but Andrew Boyens' sliding tackle in the second half prevented a sure Toronto tally and ensured the first point for new Coach Robin Fraser.

Toronto (1-1-1) also had a goal wiped out on a questionable offside call in the first half.
