Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24

ST. LOUIS, April 2 (UPI) -- Chase Headley homered and knocked in four runs Saturday, pacing the San Diego Padres' 11-3 victory over St. Louis.
Headley finished 2-for-5 and Nick Hundley contributed a pair of RBI for the Padres, who improved to 2-0 on the young season.
Clayton Richard (1-0) picked up the win, going six innings while allowing three runs on five hits and striking out three.
Jake Westbrook (0-1) absorbed the loss for St. Louis, yielding eight runs on six hits in 4 1/3 innings. He walked five and struck out three.
Allen Craig drove in two runs and Albert Pujols went 2-for-4 with a solo homer for the Cards.
