LOS ANGELES, April 2 (UPI) -- Rafael Furcal singled home Aaron Miles to finish off a wild, three-run sixth inning Friday that rallied the Los Angeles Dodgers past San Francisco 4-3.
The Dodgers became the first team in the majors to win two games and did so thanks in part to a pair of San Francisco errors.
Los Angeles trailed 3-1 heading into the sixth, which Matt Kemp opened with a single off losing pitcher Jonathan Sanchez.
Kemp moved all the way to third on a groundout by Marcus Thames and scored on a sacrifice fly by James Loney.
With the bases now empty, Rod Barajas singled. Aaron Miles followed with an infield hit and both runners moved up on a throwing error by third baseman Pedro Sandoval.
Sanchez then misplayed a grounder off the bat of Hector Gimenez, allowing Barajas to score. Sanchez was relieved by Guillermo Mota, who gave up the game-winning hit to Furcal.
Los Angeles starter Chad Billingsley picked up the win, allowing three runs on five hits over six innings. Three relievers allowed a combined three hits and Jonathan Broxton worked the ninth for his second save in as many games.
San Francisco's runs came on the first major league homer for Brandon Belt, a three-run shot in the fourth.
