BILOXI, Miss., April 2 (UPI) -- Tom Lehman caught fire on the back nine Saturday, firing an 8-under-par 64 en route to a lead after two rounds of the Mississippi Gulf Resort Classic.

Lehman drained seven birdies on the final nine, finishing at 13-under 131 after 32 holes -- good enough for a one-stroke lead over first-round leader Jeff Sluman.

Sluman shot a 6-under 66 to hold sole possession of second place on the Fallen Oak course.

David Frost registered a 5-under 67 for third place at minus-nine.

Knotted for fourth at 7-under 137 were Mark Calcavecchia (67), John Morse (67), Mark O'Meara (68), Steve Lowery (68), Jay Haas (68) and Nick Price (69).
