BOSTON, March 31 (UPI) -- Nazem Kadri scored the only shootout goal in the second round Thursday to keep Toronto's faint playoff hopes alive with a 4-3 victory over Boston.

The Maple Leafs, who have won five of their last six, moved within five points of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with four games remaining.

Boston missed out on a chance to clinch the Northeast Division title. The Bruins need only one more point over their final five games to do so.

Tim Thomas made 28 saves for Boston, which had won its last two outings.
