PHOENIX, March 28 (UPI) -- Jason Kidd scored 16 points Sunday, including the game's final eight, to secure a 91-83 Dallas victory over Phoenix.

The Mavericks shot just 38 percent from the field yet still won their fourth in a row to stay within one game of the Lakers for the No. 2 seed in the Western Conference and pull within five games of Southwest-leading San Antonio.

Dallas also got 16 points apiece from Jason Terry and Tyson Chandler, who contributed 18 rebounds. Dirk Nowitzki had 15 points.

The Suns were led by Jared Dudley and Marcin Gortat, who each dumped in 20 points.

Phoenix, which had led by as many as 12 in the first half, has now lost three of four to drop four games behind eighth-place Memphis.
