UNIONDALE, N.Y., March 26 (UPI) -- James van Riemsdyk logged a hat trick and Jeff Carter added a goal and an assist Saturday in the Philadelphia Flyers' 4-1 win over the New York Islanders.

The hat trick was a career first for van Riemsdyk and Sergei Bobrovsky turned aside 36-of-37 shots in Philadelphia's victory.

The Flyers ended a two-game losing streak and lengthened their lead atop the Atlantic Division to four points over Pittsburgh.

The Islanders got their only goal from Blake Comeau and Rick DiPietro yielded four goals on 22 shots for New York.
