PORTLAND, Ore., March 26 (UPI) -- Nicolas Batum slammed home a lob pass from Andre Miller just before the buzzer Friday to give the Portland Trail Blazers a 98-96 victory over San Antonio.
The acrobatic final basket ended a late rally by the Trail Blazers, who trailed by six points with just over a minute to play.
A layup by Miller started the Portland comeback and Miller brought the Trail Blazers within two when he stole the ball from Tony Parker and scored with 30 seconds left.
Batum tied the score by making two free throws with .9 of a second to play and when Steve Novak threw the inbounds pass out of bounds for San Antonio, Portland was given possession with a chance to win it.
Miller sent an inbounds pass to the rim and Batum put it in for the game-winner. Miller and Batum both scored 21 points in helping the Trail Blazers win their second straight.
Manu Ginobili had 21 for the Spurs, who have lost two in a row after winning six out of seven.
