Vikings' Asher Allen retires at age 24
AUBURN HILLS, Mich., March 26 (UPI) -- Richard Hamilton scored 23 points and Charlie Villanueva scored 13 -- all in the fourth quarter -- to lead the Detroit Pistons past Indiana 100-88 Saturday.
Rodney Stuckey scored 16 points, Tayshaun Prince had 13 and Greg Monroe finished with nine points and 13 rebounds for the Pistons, who broke a three-game losing streak.
Brandon Rush led the pacers with 19 points.
Indiana's loss, combined with Charlotte's win over Charlotte Saturday, cut the Pacers' lead over the ninth-place Bobcats to one game in the Eastern Conference playoff chase.
