COLUMBUS, Ohio, March 26 (UPI) -- Columbus goalkeeper William Hesmer made a key save in stoppage time Saturday, preserving the Crew's 0-0 draw against New York Red Bull.

Hesmer robbed Joel Lindpere on an 18-yard attempt and needed only one other save in the game as Columbus (0-1-1) finished with a home tie.

The Crew's best chance for a win came when Robbie Rogers got in close during the 43rd minute but missed. Emmanuel Ekpo of Columbus narrowly missed the left post in the 55th minute.

New York (1-0-1) played without star striker Thierry Henry, who is out with a hamstring injury.
