GLENDALE, Ariz., March 25 (UPI) -- Ilya Bryzgalov moved into fourth place in NHL shutouts this season while making 28 saves and carrying the Phoenix Coyotes to a 3-0 victory over Columbus.

It was the seventh blanking for Bryzgalov, who helped keep Phoenix in fourth place in the Western Conference. Phoenix won for the seventh time in eight games while moving closer to home-ice advantage in the opening round of the playoffs.

Michal Rozsival opened the scoring 3:51 into the second period and Derek Morris made it a 2-0 game with 1:16 left in the stanza. Mikkel Boedker added a goal with 4:49 to go in the third.

Columbus, which has dropped out of playoff contention, lost its third straight. Mathieu Garon gave up the three goals on 23 shots.
