NHL: Pittsburgh 2, Philadelphia 1 (SO)

PHILADELPHIA, March 24 (UPI) -- Chris Kunitz scored in the fourth round of the shootout Thursday to give the Pittsburgh Penguins a 2-1 decision over Philadelphia.

The Penguins moved within three points of the Flyers for the top spot in the Atlantic Division and for the best record in the Eastern Conference.

Mike Richards gave Philadelphia the lead with 4:42 to go in the first period. Tyler Kennedy tied it 61 seconds into the middle period and goaltenders Marc-Andre Fleury of Pittsburgh and Sergei Bobrovsky of Philadelphia were perfect for the remainder of regulation and the 5-minute overtime.

Fleury made 19 saves and Bobrovsky stopped 30 shots.
