NBA: Chicago 114, Atlanta 81

ATLANTA, March 22 (UPI) -- Derrick Rose struck for 30 points Tuesday and the Chicago Bulls took over the Eastern Conference lead with a 114-81 pounding of Atlanta.

Rose drained a career-high six 3-pointers while distributing 10 assists and Luol Deng contributed 27 points for the Bulls, who at 51-19 leapfrogged the idle Boston Celtics into the East's top spot.

Joakim Noah added eight points and seven rebounds while Kyle Korver and Taj Gibson each chipped in nine points off the bench, helping Chicago to its 10th win in 11 games.

The Hawks lost for the third time in four games despite four 3-pointers from Jeff Teague en route to 20 points.
